A rocket ship balloon is the one decoration a space birthday genuinely needs, and this is the version that will not sag by cake time. It is 30 inches of foil, also sold as mylar, moulded into a rocket, so the nose and fins hold their edges instead of rounding off the way a printed latex balloon does. Inflate it with helium and it floats over the table like a proper launch; inflate it with air and it holds position beside a backdrop, no tank required. Fly it for space party decorations, an astronaut theme, a blast off first birthday, or a science party. See the rest of the launch crew in our .
Can you blow up foil balloons with your mouth?
Yes, a foil balloon’s self-sealing valve can be propped open with a drinking straw, and you can then inflate the balloon by mouth through that straw. A mouth-inflated balloon contains air rather than helium, so it will hold its shape but will not float.
